Good Night Stories For Rebel Girls by Elena Favilli and Francesca Cavallo

100 TALES OF EXTRAORDINARY WOMEN

A book from women about extraordinary women for girls and women. I remember as a child, when I could already read, I loved to read myself fairy tales, right before falling asleep. I don't remember anybody to read it to me. But I remember I had books full of fairy tales, and I remember looking forward to a new tale to read and fall asleep. Interesting thing is, I don't remember any of those fairy tales if you would ask me. I remember how it made me feel. It made me feel really good.

Growing up, and later as an adult, I continued to read before falling asleep. I haven't read fairy tales anymore, even tho, fictional stories, are kind of fairy tales, they just miss those particular important words "Once upon a time". When I hear or read these words, it's like tuning into magic, turning on the vibes, tapping into feeling good.

I was born in the early 80s in a still communistic era in eastern Europe. Comparing growing up today and back then, is a huge difference. We certainly didn't have toys, not even the possibility to do lots of things, nor our parents. Also as a woman, there is a difference today and back then.

And not only in post-communistic countries, but this applies to all over the world. It's the evolution, the evolution we experience across the generations, centuries. Well, let's rewind a little. What I want to say, is we have the possibility now, the same possibility our kids have. And so I bought this book "Good Night Stories For Rebel Girls; 100 tales of extraordinary women". The little girl in me wanted it, and so I provided it for her. Hihi. And there it is, every single story begins with: "Once there was....". Elena Favilli and Francesca Cavallo wrote this book to empower the girls, growing children, because indeed, they know the difference. What is beautiful about it, I enjoy this book tremendously. I believe we should and have to nourish that little child inside of us, that child is just there and will be always there, and when we neglect it, the adult in us, might not be a really happy adult.

What I personally love about the book the most, is the fact, that I am not a child anymore, and that as an adult woman I am older than many of the girls whose stories are in the book. And that is just eye-opening. There are stories of women across the centuries, across the ages, and girls, who were born much later than me, and made something remarkable. I would even give it to my Grandma if she would still live, hihi.

This is a 100% GOOD NIGHT reading. 100% empowering. 100% inspiring. 100% for all little girls, and all women. There is a little girl in each and every one of us, and she's very alive and EXTRAORDINARY, as the woman she grows to!
