BRIDGERTON: THE DUKE & I, by Julia Quinn

I have a very important question for you. Have you seen Bridgerton? Or have you read the book? Have you, or have you not? Ooooh, I have, ooooh yeah. I am a huge Pride and Prejudice fan, a huge fan, I have seen the movie hundreds of times, I swear. So then Bridgerton appeared on Netflix, like a little miracle, and I wondered what it is? And I have had to get to know it. And so I have seen the Netflix Bridgerton first series two times, I repeat two times, and in the end, I have also purchased the book. And I just loooooove it!

First of all watching Bridgerton, the story of beautiful Daphne and Simon, the Duke of Hastings was let's say mini-marathon, because I literally binge-watched it all at once, in both cases. And what to say about the book. With the reading, it didn't start so eagerly, because I had this book as a companion to other books I was reading at the time, and I have also compared it a lot with the TV production, and because English is not my maternal language, and I have read another kind of the book in English before, there were many new words I struggled with. Like grinned, scowled, etc. A lot of new expressions. But then came a snap, I have got familiar with the new words, I have finished reading other books, I have stopped to compare and I dove deep in reading and I literally finished reading it in just a couple of days because I just couldn't stop turning the pages to know what is going to happen next, even though I knew the story. I don't remember when I was turning the pages of some book so eagerly like that last time. Usually, I count how many pages are in the chapter ahead, haha.

The television production of the book is a little different, well it is adapted, that is the right word. And the adaption is just wonderful. And I love both, I love the TV series, and I love the book the same. I cannot say I'd love something better, or less. I LOVE BOTH! Is that clear? Hihi...

It is one story, the book is the original, and yet we can say the TV series is also original in some way. Nonetheless, the book is just the book, and it has just its own specific magic.

It is quite a detour from the book I have read in the past year, and I am so grateful for this detour and fun, and good vibes. So romantic, aaaaaah, hihi. I think this detour is kinda a new journey (wink), naturally of course because there are eight more books in the Bridgerton series.

At this point, I have no other words because the Bridgerton series and in particular the book have to say more...(wink)...

I just say this, I have very much enjoyed their "first kiss" in the book. And I can't wait for another.
